About Gatlin Pet & Livestock Pharmacy
Gatlin Feed started in a very unconventional way. Our beloved Papaw Charles had a falling out with the co-op, and he started mixing his own feed. That was the humble beginning of Gatlin Feed. A mixing wagon, a small building, and local farmers willing to buy cow feed. We did ask Papaw Charles what year he thought Gatlin Feed officially started. He sat and he pondered, and spouted out 1988, so that is our best guess to the actual year it all began!
The second generation took over with Jeff Gatlin. If you come to Gatlin Feed and have a man in a cowboy hat greet you- that’s Jeff! If you know Jeff, then you know he has a vision, and the bigger the better! When Jeff took over, he built the storefront we have today! With this store addition, we not only manufacture feed but provide a retail space for your farming needs! Whether it’s something small like puppy vaccination or something as large as building a catch pen we have you covered.
The third generation, Will Gatlin, is the man behind the counter. He is answering phones, loading panels, and helping you build your perfect catch pin setup! Will wears many hats at Gatlin Feed. He can answer questions all the way from which cattle vaccinations you need to what you need to plant in your food plot for deer season!
When over-the-counter antibiotics were moved to prescription, Jeff saw an opportunity to better serve local farmers. He founded Gatlin Pet & Livestock Pharmacy to make prescription medications more accessible, so you can conveniently get your medications, livestock feed, fencing materials, and vaccines all in one place. We have two licensed pharmacists on hand to assist you, and we also offer access to a veterinarian who is available for farm visits and consultations. Plus, we pride ourselves on offering the best prices around!
Gatlin Feed is proudly a third generation owned family business in Bogue Chitto, MS. We have grown exponentially from our start with Papaw Charles and his mixing wagon to manufacturing almost 2 million pounds of feed per week. We cannot thank our loyal customers enough and we are happy to continue to serve in Southwest Mississippi!
